Kaitlyn Martínez is a 10 year old girl who survived the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, who has lost at least six of her friends at the hands of Salvador Ramos.
In an interview with Telemundo, the minor indicated that she felt the need to bring flowers to the memorial that has been placed for remember the 21 fatalities, 19 children and two teachers, placed outside the place where the massacre occurred.
“Those who died were very good people”, declared the minor, visibly moved. “I miss them a lot, the day I found out they were dead I cried a lot,” added the girl.
Likewise, she expressed her sadness at the death of the teachers
“And as the teacher who did die, she was there, she died in front of all her children and as I was like children and they feel watching someone die in front of you”, detailed the minor.
When going to the memorial and seeing the 21 crosses in honor of the victims, the minor realized that at least six of the deceased were her friends, and says that she is still trying to assimilate what happened.
Furthermore, he recalled the nightmare he experienced inside the school while the shooting broke out.
