The husband of the president of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, Paul Pelosi, was arrested this weekend for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to TMZ.
Paul Pelosi was arrested just before midnight Saturday night in Napa County, and hours later booked on two counts: driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.29 or more, both misdemeanors.
The details of the arrest incident not yet have been detailed, however, Nancy Pelosi is expected to give more information about the incident in the next few hours.
It is not known if the Spokesperson was with Paul during the arrest; She’s often in DC for her work, but since it’s Memorial Day weekend, she could possibly have been home with her family for a while, the outlet speculates.
Nancy Pelosi was expected to visit Rhode Island to give a college commencement address.
As mentioned above, Pelosi did not has publicly acknowledged Paul’s arrest, and neither have any of his children or immediate family members.
Paul’s bail was set at $5,000 dollars, so it is believed he is no longer in custody. He has been married to Nancy since 550.
