At least five people have died after two boats collided with each other on the Wilmington River, Georgia, on Saturday morning, authorities confirmed this Sunday.
According to a spokesman for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Mark McKinnon, Rangers were called due to a boating accident on the Wilmington River near the Oatland Island Wildlife Center docks at approximately 10: 30 am Saturday, reported WSB-TV.
Two center console boats were sailing in opposite directions when the tragic crash occurred. The two boats had a total of nine people on board, six in one boat and three in the other, witnesses said.
