The daughter of one of the two teachers who were murdered along with 19 children in the massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, dedicated a heartbreaking message to their mother and father; the latter died of a heart attack after learning of the death of his wife.

“Their names will not be forgotten,” wrote Lyliana García, of 15 years, in a letter to which The Daily Mirror had access.

“Dad, I know this was too much for you. Your heart couldn’t take it. I will spend the rest of my life fighting for you and Mom. Their names will not be forgotten. Your daughter, Lyliana.”, wrote the minor who was orphaned along with her three brothers.

Teacher Irma García, from 48 years, was married for 25 years with José “Joe” Antonio, of 50 years.

Both died just days apart, because while the teacher died last Tuesday, the victim of the attacker Salvador Ramos, in a classroom trying to protect his students, her husband suffered a heart attack, which his family attributed to the pain caused by the loss of his life partner.

They gave the life for their students

According to accounts, teachers Irma García and Eva Mireles desperately tried to protect their students from the bullets fired by Salvador Ramos, while reports suggest that the police were unable to confront the attacker at Robb Elementary School for almost an hour.

An obituary in the local morgue reads: “José Antonio García joined the love of his life and was also received in the arms of his wife, Irma and our Lord the 26 May 2022″

“Irma Linda García from Uvalde, Texas, was received for our Lord and Savior as he selflessly protected his angels on 24 May 2022 in Uvalde, Texas, at the age of 48 years”.

Irma García’s cross is one of the 23 which is now at a memorial site honoring the victims.

It is expected that the funerals of the García couple, who are also survived by their children Cristian, 23, Jose, 19 and Alysandra, 13, take place this Wednesday, before his remains finally rest in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Uvalde.
