Andy Goram, the exporter who experienced moments of glory at Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United, has confessed that he is suffering from terminal cancer, and only has six months to live.
Goram, who He was also considered the best goalkeeper in the history of Scottish Rangers. He assured in an interview with Daily Record that the cancer has spread to his liver, vertebrae, rib and right lung.

At his 58 years old, he offered what could be his last interview to talk about the disease, which he believed was only indigestion and which ended up becoming his worst nightmare.
“I thought he had severe indigestion. It was as if my throat was blocked, but after several weeks everything got worse“, assured the former soccer player.
“Everything I ate or drank was not even half from my stomach, because I immediately vomited it up. I couldn’t speak face to face with my doctor for two weeks because I was in total agony. I lost 25 kilos in a month“, he continued.

After his health condition became complicated, they decided to do several medical tests and the diagnosis was totally devastating, since the tumor they found was in an area that was impossible to operate on.
Although they offered him a chemotherapy treatment, the doctor treating his case told him that this would only give him about three more months to live.
“The doctor explained to me where all the cancer was , and it was inoperable. That word hit me hard. The specialist told me that if I undergo chemotherapy I will have an average of nine months to live, and if I don’t, an average of six,” Goram assured.

“Do chemotherapy to be in agony for three more months and with zero quality of life? No, thanks. Chemotherapy is off the menu. I’m on the countdown and it will soon be over, but I’ll try to enjoy everything I have left being who I am, and I don’t want pity”, confessed the exporter.
Goram participated in 43 meetings with the Scottish National Team between 1985 Y 1998. While with Glasgow Rangers he played 184 matches and won four leagues and three cups.
