The Government of Mexico congratulated the driver Sergio “Checo” Pérez for his victory in the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix. However, he made a tremendous mistake and instead of posting a photo of the Guadalajara, mounted a graphic of his teammate Max Verstappen.
The Mexican won first place in the streets of the principality after an excellent race in which he was benefited by the strategy of your team; achievement that also served to convince Red Bull strategist Chris Horner to renew it for the 2023.
The victory of “Checo” generated immense joy in the Mexican people and was congratulated by stars, athletes, celebrities and the Government from Mexico.
Through his Twitter account, the executive celebrated the victory of the Aztec pilot, but at first they did not realize the error in the image.
“We congratulate our compatriot Sergio Pérez for winning the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix. He is the fifth Latin American driver to reach ar the victory“, wrote the Executive in a tweet.
That message was accompanied by an image that said “Congratulations Checo Pérez”, but it had a photo of Dutchman Max Verstappen.
After the tremendous mistake, the critics were not lacking and they had to delete the tweet to correct the error, and finally they were able to take the correct photo with Checo raising the Monaco GP trophy.
Nevertheless, The error was used by users on social networks to place memes and mockery against the Government of Mexico.
