In a strange and somewhat humorous situation, an Alaskan woman removed a possum from a Brooklyn bar, which occurred last week at Temkin’s Bar on Greenpoint Ave. in the Greenpoint section.

Sara Fulton, who is an Alaskan native, calmly grabbed the animal by the neck and led it outside after it had entered an open door.

Chris Eagen, who was at the bar during the strange occurrence, took video of the possum, who said he was lost and visibly distressed by the crowded place.

Here are the images of Sara Futlon taking out the opossum:

“This poor thing, with its night vision and boisterous crowd, ran confused looking for a way out. Unfortunately, it’s not too easy for these docile but terrifying marsupials to escape from this environment, so he headed around a corner,” Egan told Storyful.

Egan claimed that’s when the woman in the video intervened “without blinking an eye” and said: “Hold my phone, I’m from Alaska”.

In the film you can see other customers screaming when Fulton walked through the bar with opossum in his hand. After letting the animal out, he just brushed his hands off and went back to the bar.

Brooklyn-based news outlet Greenpointers reported that Fulton shared the moment on his Instagram profile, adding a simple caption: “I did that.”

“He did the right thing and, like a possum whisperer, grabbed her from behind like a cat and carried her outside, dropped her gently on the sidewalk and let her go back to her house, the vacant lot or the yard butt he called home,” Egan added.
