Camilo visits Mexico City on the occasion of his “Inside to Outside” tour where he shares his experience of being a father after the birth in April of little Indigo, product of his marriage to Eva Luna Montaner.
“It has been a learning experience, really. I still don’t feel qualified to be a dad just like my dad or Eva Luna’s dad (Ricardo Montaner) or so many dads, I assume that will be learned over time”.
“But I do feel empowered to love Indigo with all my heart and from that place I feel deeply sure of the relationship we have, learning from her every day. Very few unveiled, Indigo came out as handmade for our dynamic”.
“I put my songs on her a lot, there are many that she likes, others like not so much”.
The Colombian singer-songwriter shares his feelings on being so close to Eva Luna during the birth of her daughter.
“It was an experience that changed my life. The way I see Eva Luna at this moment, if I used to love her, honor her and admire her, at this moment (I am left) speechless”.
“It was a beautiful birth, at home, as we had dreamed of since we met. He didn’t end up being born in Indigo water, he didn’t want to, well, Eva Luna will tell you about it at some point, but it was the most beautiful day of our lives”.
Camilo is closer than ever to his wife, because becoming parents hasn’t taken away the fun.
“Ah, well! What happens is that Indigo is also very nocturnal, she loves the night; then we party at home, we invite everyone, we eat and party, and even indigo also dances and everything”.
“I relate to zero that since Indigo arrived there is a limit for us to have fun and that. I, the truth, have lived this process to the fullest and I don’t lack anything, thank God”.
