New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson reported this Wednesday that he is not happy with the support he received from his team after the controversy he had a few days ago with Chicago White Sox player Tim Anderson .

Far from disappearing the controversy, now the third baseman went to the media to tell how he felt about the comments of some with Aaron Boone, Yankees manager and Aaron Judge, teammate, who strongly reproached his attitude with the Chicago player.

“I think it was difficult to listen (the comments), without a doubt, just for the simple fact that I pride myself on being a good teammate,” he said in an interview for AP.

Regarding the fact, Aaron Boone had expressed that he did not think that Donaldson’s action was “the right thing” while Aaron Judge for his part, expressed that he disagreed with his teammate’s comparison, regardless of “whether it was a joke or not.”

Subsequently, the player tried to defend himself by saying that everything had been part of a joke and later ended up publishing a statement in which he apologized to Anderson and to Jackie Robinson’s family.

Last 21 May, Donaldson made a racist and derogatory comment in which he compared Anderson with Jackie Robinson, for which he was suspended by MLB for one match.

Similarly, and initially suffering from Covid, Josh Donaldson did not play again for the Yankees and this Wednesday he was removed from the virus list to be placed on the disabled list for 10 days due to right shoulder problems.

However, it is not ruled out that the Yankees are considering sanctioning the third baseman for his out of place comments .

Before leaving the lineup, Donaldson had an average of .31, five home runs, 15 RBIs, 10 Scored and 31 hits in 37 games with the Bronx Mules .
