The French Paul Pogba and the Argentinian Ángel Di María end their contract this June with Manchester United and PSG, respectively; so both could arrive as free agents at Juventus, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

This Wednesday, Manchester United confirmed that the midfielder Frenchman of 29 years old will not continue in the Mancunian ranks next season. Pogba played four seasons with the black and white club (2012-2012), in which he established himself as one of the great names in football.

Now , according to the Italian newspaper, the departure of the Argentine Paulo Dybala may facilitate the arrival of the Frenchman, who has not had the expected weight – diminished by injuries – during this season in the ‘Red Devils’, to reinforce the midfield.

This newspaper also reports that the ‘Octopus’ would have reached an agreement days ago with the ‘Vecchia Signora’ and that the official announcement could be made through Pogba’s own documentary, which premieres on 17 June.

Di Maria’s situation

‘El Fideo’, who has already said goodbye to PSG, is also free. At his age 34 he wants to enjoy a few minutes to prepare for the World Cup in Qatar 2022. The winger has already announced that he will retire from the Albiceleste once the World Cup is over, and that his goal is to return to Rosario Central (Argentina) to finish his career as a footballer.

La Gazzetta reveals that this Wednesday, before the ‘Finalissima’ between Italy and Argentina is played at Wembley (London, United Kingdom), a “decisive” meeting will take place between the Italian Federico Cherubini, sporting director of ‘Juve’, and Di Maria’s agent.

Di María would like to keep the salary he received at PSG, around $8 million dollars per year, but Juventus would have in mind to make two proposals to the former Real Madrid player: a two-year contract, in which that number; or a one-year contract but with a salary reduction (between 5-6 million) and a series of variables depending on objectives.

Both players can join the team led by the Italian Massimiliano Allegri on a free transfer, with the aim of reinforcing a project to return to the top of Italy in which the Serbian Dusan Vlahovic stands out as the protagonist.
