After the massacre at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, little-known details about Salvador Ramos, of 14 years, like the one given by Republican Representative Tony González.

According to the legislator, the gunman was arrested four years ago after saying he planned to “shoot a school” when he would be 18 years old in 2022.

“This was not a rumour. I received this late; the shooter was arrested four years ago for having this plan for basically saying, you know, in 2022 I’m going to shoot up a school,” González said.

And added: “Something fell between the cracks between then and now this was allowed to happen. We have to shake off all the facts”.

And he urged the authorities to find out what happened to guarantee that a massacre like the one on Tuesday 21 May, which left 21 dead, 19 children and two teachers, it won’t happen again.

“If the police, you know, identified four years ago as a threat (Ramos’ words) we have to find out why it wasn’t, you know, how they got him out of this”, he detailed.

He also pointed out that the police at the time investigated Salvador Ramos, arrested him and even confined in a correctional facility.

The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, has not commented on Tony González’s statements about the arrest of Salvador Ramos when he was a minor, however, it is expected that he will come out soon to offer comments on the matter.

For now, investigators are analyzing why the doors to Robb Elementary School did not close properly and Salvador Ramos was able to enter without problem.
