The Colombian soccer player who is part of the Boca Juniors squad, Sebastián Villa, underwent a psychiatric examination requested by the Argentine Justice this Thursday in the province of Buenos Aires after being accused of rape.
Villa, aged 26, who had already been reported for gender-based violence by his ex-partner in 2021, was accused on May by another woman of sexual abuse with access carnal, aggravated by the injuries.
The Justice carried out a psychiatric examination on the complainant and this Thursday on the star player of Boca Juniors, who was absent from the team’s practice.
The Colombian went to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Lomas de Zamora, in the province of Buenos Aires, and was inside the building for just over an hour.
Judicial sources assured the local press that it is likely that the results of the expert report will be available in the next 48 hours and that the prosecution will then decide whether Villa is called to investigation.
Boca Juniors publicly supported the soccer player, who was not removed from the squad and who became champion on 13 May of the Professional Football League Cup.
