Five days after announcing that he was positive for COVID, Univision’s doctor Juan Rivera is free of the virus, and returned to ‘Despierta América’, where he recounted how the disease passed after spending more than two years speaking of the pandemic and bringing peace of mind to the public.
“I feel great, I want to thank all this great team from Despierta América who were watching me every day… Today I appreciate much more to this family“, Dr. Juan began by saying to Karla Martínez, his partner in the health segment.
Of course, the first thing Karla asked him was, what did you do to make it last so little? ?…
“It lasted very little, because as soon as I detected it I started taking Paxlovid… Obviously I was vaccinated and everything, so thank God we were able to fight it easily”, explained Rivera.
This morning, they talked about precisely these pills that for many would have an effect of that within days of testing negative, some patients feel bad again and test positive.
The doctor assured that although he does not know why, he thinks that the remedy acts so quickly against the virus, that perhaps some bodies that are not immunologically very high, can have this consequence, and he advised that whoever happens to it, call their doctor.
Let us remember that a few days ago, Dr. Juan himself revealed on ‘Despierta América’, “It was my turn, last night I tested positive for COVID.”
The doctor, who took the lead from the first day the country was closed when COVID-19 arrived, and for this reason he earned the title of ‘the superhero against the coronavirus’, gave more details to her segment partner, Karla Martínez, about how she found out and, above all, how she feels.
“The truth is that it feels strange, because for the last 2 years I feel that I was in this race to help the population with all the information, and that I did to feel almost separated from the problem and I forgot that it could happen to me too, because you are so involved trying to help and work, and in the last few weeks I saw so many COVID patients in my office that it touched me. Thank God I’m fine, I’ve had a little body ache, a little congestion, and first God I’m going to be fine, and we’re going to continue to be involved in all this that is about the pandemic,” said Dr. Juan, in that time.
A few days later He is back in the studio of the ‘Happiest House on Hispanic Television’, returning to his work reporting even on COVID.
