The summer party at Lincoln Center continues this week with its Social Dance program. Trumpeter/conductor Danny Jonokuchi and his band, The Revisionists, will be performing at the massive outdoor arena dubbed “The Oasis” at Josie Robertson Plaza this Thursday, evoking Savoy Ballroom vibes. While on Friday, June 3, it will be the turn of versatile instrumentalist, bandleader and vocalist Felicia Collins, best known for her role as lead guitarist for Paul Shaffer’s CBS Orchestra on The Late Show with David Letterman. The Gipsy Kings at the Beacon Theater

Giulietta e Romeo outdoors
In association with Teatro Grattacielo, BPCA presents a complete production of Giulietta e Romeo composed by Riccardo Zandonai. The specific piece will be presented in two performances located outdoors along the Hudson Boardwalk with the Statue of Liberty in view. Through performances in New York City, strategic national and international collaborations, and educational outreach, Teatro Grattacielo promotes artists and an appreciation of operatic traditions with an eye toward innovation and inclusion. The Inwood Film Festival returns
Inwood Art Works returns with its Fifth Annual Inwood Film Festival. The focus of the festival is to celebrate Inwood and its surrounding community through the moving image. All participating films were shot in the neighborhood or community or made by current or former residents. This year, the festival will also launch an online extension, IFF+, which provides an alternative digital platform that celebrates, exhibits and expands accessibility to present the work of local filmmakers at the festival.
