A man from Modesto, California, faces federal charges after allegedly groping two women on a JetBlue plane during a flight on Tuesday.
The victims and the alleged pervert were traveling in a plane that left Los Angeles, California, bound for Boston, Massachusetts.
According to the Modesto Bee report, at around 9: 30 pm, Jairaj Singh Dhillon, aged 42, was seated in an aisle seat, one of the victims in the middle seat caretaker of her baby who was in a “car seat” near the window.
The criminal complaint filed in the Federal District Court of Massachusetts indicates that, some 30 minutes after the plane took off, the suspect began to touch the upper part of the victim’s left thigh while she was attending to her baby.
The woman proceeded to press the call button on the pet flight personnel, she turned to her husband, who was in the row next to her, and said: “This man just groped me.”
The second victim was sitting in the seat that It faces the corridor, but on the opposite side. The female, who had the headphones on, got up when she noticed that the man sitting next to her wanted to get out of her. While standing in the aisle of the plane, Dhillon allegedly touched her butt and groin.
She hit in his hands to the stump and the first victim indicated that the man had done the same thing to him.
Airline employees moved Dhillon to another part of the plane near an empty seat.
The suspect was detained at Logan Airport; he faces two counts of abusive sexual contact. The man remains in custody at a detention center pending a hearing that is supposed to take place today.
If convicted, you face a sentence of three years in prison and one year of supervised release as well as a fine of up to $250,000.
