girl-who-survived-the-uvalde-massacre-remembers-the-last-words-of-her-best-friend

More than a week after the massacre in Uvalde, Texas, which left 21 dead, 19 children and 2 teachers, Khloe Torres told KENS 5 how her best friend tried to calm her down when it was learned that Salvador Ramos, from 14 years, had entered her school, and how they murdered her.

“She was the only great friend she had,” Torres said of her best friend, Amerie Jo Garza who called 911 to ask for help not only for her, but for her classmates, but Ramos murdered her in cold blood.

The youngest, aged 10 years old, told the aforementioned medium that her best friend was trying to comfort her when she learned of a “confinement ” provoked by an armed man who had entered the school building.

“They told us we were going to close. My friend said it was normal. (And she told me) don’t be afraid. Nothing is going to happen”, were the last words that Garza said to Torres.

The minor said that minutes later Salvador Ramos entered her classroom and the teachers Irma García and Eva Mireles were murdered while they tried to protect their students.

“(Mrs. García) ran towards us, sat down and began to cover me and my friend. She started to say
that ‘no’ because (the gunman) said ‘you will die’. And she shot my friend who had a phone in her hand and then my teachers, Mrs. García and Mrs. Mireles, ”said the survivor.

Torres, frightened for having seen how the teachers and her friend were shot, got up to turn off Garza’s cell phone and so as not to draw the gunman’s attention: “I didn’t want anyone else to get hurt.”

Salvador Ramos realizing that Khloe Torres stood up and tried to shoot him; The minor only remembers running to protect herself, however, a bullet wounded her.

And it was just at that moment that the Border Patrol shot down the gunman who died instantly.

A doctor who was at the scene treated Torres without knowing that her daughter, and the minor’s best friend, had been shot to death.
