Physical problems and problems off the pitch have made Gerard Piqué a player that is expendable for FC Barcelona, something that coach Xavi Hernández himself has done to the player, who refuses to let the club and would be willing to accept a role other than the one played until this season.
After an irregular season in which he managed to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League, Xavi must begin to leading the important renewal of the squad of the culé team and that includes the so-called “sacred cows”.
In that sense, the coach and former player of the Barcelona would have started said renewal by informing Gerard Piqué that he is not in the team’s plans for next season, according to the newspaper ‘Sport’.

According to ‘Sport’, Xavi told his player and friend that the best solution for both parties was that the defender left the club, however he indicated that he would be willing to give up part of the money that corresponds to him in order to stay in the club.
Likewise, other media outlets such as ‘Marca’ and ‘COPE’, have indicated that the also captain of Barça, has promised to recover his best version as a player and give up his undisputed ownership in the central saga that will now be in charge of the Uruguayan Ronald Araujo and the Spaniard Eric García.
