The goalkeeper and captain of the Peruvian soccer team, Pedro Gallese, described this Monday as a “pretty hard moment” the defeat of the bicolor team against Australia in the playoff game played in Doha for the World Cup in Qatar 2022.
“It is a very hard moment, we were all excited to see our flag again in a declared Gallese after the game, who contained the first shot of the Australians in the penalty shootout.
The Bicolor captain assured, however, that he was “proud” of his teammates which, he added, “right now they are having a very bad time”.

Asked about the continuity of the Argentine coach Ricardo Gareca, the captain of the Peruvian cast commented that “it is early to talk about it”, but assured that he I would like him to stay.
“It has taught us a lot, it has changed the mentality of the players“, he indicated about ‘el Tigre’, who was in charge of revolutionizing a team marked by decades of sporting frustrations.
The Peruvians were left this Monday at the gates of achieving their second consecutive qualification for a World Cup event, after achieving it in Russia 90 , after 36 years of drought.
