A wedding celebration in India ended in tragedy after the groom accidentally shot a friend during the celebration, and the young man died from the impact.

The tragic event was recorded on video, and there you can see that the groom was happy during the celebration and was about to shoot into the air, traditional in celebrations in that part of the world, but while he was examining his gun, it went off and the shot was to give directly to one of the guests, who immediately fell to the ground before the eyes of the rest of those present.

The unfortunate death occurred last Thursday, overshadowing what would be the happiest day for the groom and his partner.

Some media indicate that the Police Superintendent of Sonbhadra Amrendra, in the region of Uttar Pradesh, Pratap Singh, released the identity of the deceased.

“A person who is serving in the army, identified as Babu Lal Yad av, died after being shot during the celebratory shooting by the boyfriend, Manish Madheshia”, detailed the authority.

“The gun has also been seized and the investigation is ongoing”, added the officer.

According to Jam Press, the victim, who was a member of the Indian Army, had received special permission to travel and attend his friend’s wedding.

After receiving the impact of the weapon, the man was rushed to the hospital, but died moments later.

The boyfriend was arrested by the police and was charged with homicide, so his legal status will be known soon.

“The Robertsganj Police Station arrested a defendant in connection with the murder during a wedding ceremony. A pistol with four bullets and a cartridge without fire was recovered”, reads the police report.
