More than 250 were seized pounds of various drugs worth approximately $ millions of dollars in a major raid in the Bronx, when a top federal Drug Enforcement Agency agent warned that New York is “under siege” with an avalanche of deadly drugs.

About 110 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl and cocaine, in addition to 40 pounds of methamphetamine and even others 75,000 counterfeit pills, believed to contain fentanyl, were seized from a stash in the Mount Hope neighborhood, authorities said in a statement.

“The data does not lie, New York is besieged by criminal drug networks that flood the streets of our city with fentanyl and kill people at a record rate,” said DEA Special Agent in Charge Frank Tarentino.

“This major seizure shows that today’s traffickers have all the ingredients to make toxic cocktails for retail sales, deliberately blinding users to what they are actually getting,” he added.

In statements, the city’s special narcotics prosecutor d of New York, Bridget Brennan, said the apartment served as an “Amazon warehouse” for deadly drugs in the city, while the district attorney of the Bronx, Darcel Clark, and the commissioner of the police of New York, Keechant Sewell, referred to drugs as “poison”.

“This seizure illustrates what we are up against in the Bronx with traffickers bringing large amounts of poisonous drugs that devastate communities here and in the metro area,” Clark said.

Once the a Authorities from a DEA task force involving local, state and federal officers entered the home Monday night, arresting Mota Plasencia after he fled to the rear of the unit. Officers found him with some kilos of narcotics nearby, authorities said.

Plasencia, from 39 years, was accused of operating as a major trafficker and two counts of criminal possession were found of a controlled substance such as bags of drugs throughout the apartment.

A bag nearby from the front of the apartment had 26,000 a 75, counterfeit blue pills stamped M-30, which mimics a commonly abused form of oxycodone.

Another closet had two duffel bags with 24 a 40 kilos of drugs and three ziplock bags of heroin, two of which were labeled “Cartel” and “Goma”.

The living room had a refrigerator red with 26 kilos of cocaine stored and another duffel bag containing what agents believe to be methamphetamine.

A cardboard box with car parts and a kilo of cocaine was recovered from the living room and a basket in the hallway outside the bedroom contained about three kilos of cocaine, authorities alleged.

The kitchen counter had two kilos of cocaine that seemed ready to be packaged, according to the police.

Some of the packages had random names like Toyota and Audi and an image of the Dockers logo.

Drug paraphernalia was found, 80 rounds of rifle ammunition and evidence of multiple aliases, police said.
