The story began in June 2021 when Holly Sonders interviewed Óscar de la Hoya at a wrestling event after being more than two years old uninterested in TV, a career to which she devoted herself for several years. Then love was born and the relationship between the two became public and official.
During the night of Saturday, October 9, Tyson Fury faced Deontay Wilder at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, De La Hoya surprised everyone by arriving with a beautiful woman as his companion. There were already rumors of a possible relationship, but from then on everything began to be more formal.
Without finishing the year, specifically the 14 November 2021, Sonders posted a photo showing his back and a tattoo of Óscar de la Hoya in one of the most important moments in his life: the day he became The Golden Boy.
“You have everything in life. There is nothing I can give you that you haven’t already received… except this. This tattoo represents the day you became The Golden Boy. The moment when you won the gold medal at the 1992 Olympics and looked at your mother, who had passed away a few months earlier. When I decided on an artist to bring this moment to life, there was no doubt that I wanted him to be the husband of your sister @tattooesteban. I love you @oscardelahoya”, published the woman.
De La Hoya, shocked by that gift, responded in a loving way and totally crushed.
“ Nobody will understand how I feel, for the last 35 years my life has been dedicated and given to the public. I finally feel loved in the way I have always deserved. Holly, you have made me the best version of myself and this is the best gift I have ever received.
