Marcus Ornellas shares how he and Ariadne Díaz combine their respective soap operas with the care of their son Diego. The actor stars together with Livia Brito in the melodrama “Nobody’s Woman”, which premieres this 28 June in the United States. A project that, unlike others, only lasts 9 weeks (45 chapters).
“My challenge in this project was really to distance myself from the character of ‘Martín’, from ‘Si nos Dejan’; that people didn’t see ‘Martín’ again on stage, you know? And that he did see a new character, which is ‘Fernando’, and I think…
“My mom has already seen a couple of little things that I have sent her so that she can give me her opinion hahaha! Obviously she’s my number one fan lol but she’s like ‘wow my love! It’s great, I don’t see ‘Martín’ he’s not here, how good you got rid of ‘Martín’”.
Marcus changed his cut from hair and grew a thicker beard for this project.
Ariadne is also recording a novel (“Vencer la Ausencia”) at the same time as you, how are you doing with Diego?
Yes, they convinced us. The projects are very cool, both mine and yours. She wanted to, Rosie had already invited her and she agreed and we said ‘okay’.
We have someone who helps us, a very trustworthy person who supports us and like Ari there are four couples in her project protagonists, because the weight of the project is divided and there it is not so heavy and well, she accepted for that too. We have managed to carry out these two projects with Dieguito and well, we are happy.”
What is the last thing Diego has surprised you with?
Every day he surprises me with something new. The other day he arrived with a little letter that he wrote me, with his little letters, because he is learning to write and he wrote that he loved me and that and he gave me a lot of love, a lot of tenderness, because he made a great effort writing something because he is just learning, and for me that represents a lot”.
