tiktoker-reveals-what-walmart-does-with-products-that-are-about-to-expire

Walmart is one of the largest and most important multinational stores. Every day they receive millions of customers who buy all kinds of products, including food. However, not everything that is on its shelves is sold, many of them even expire before being purchased, which means that they have to be removed from the shelves and thrown in the trash.

This was explained by the user @angeel_rromero through his TikTok account. The Walmart employee shared with his more than 5, 000 followers what they should do when the products like beer are about to expire. “Things you didn’t know about Walmart,” he wrote in a first video where several employees can be seen emptying beer bottles.

The tiktoker revealed that Walmart prefers to throw away products that are about to spoil rather than give them away or put them on discount. In the clip of a few seconds he explains that the beers would expire in 3 days, he also assured that this is done daily and is called “throwing the waste”.

The tiktok went viral shortly after and reached 4 million views, with thousands of comments where other users share their own experiences with the chain and confirm the information.

In a second video, the user pointed out that they shot more than 500 beer bottles because they were about to expire.

Sausages and dairy products about to expire are also thrown away

But beer is not the only thing thrown away. As explained by the user, the chain must also get rid of dairy products and sausages that are about to spoil.

In a third video shared through the social network, you can see how they have to be separate the yoghurt and cream residues to be thrown in the rubbish bins.

“Two bags are used, one green and one white”, he mentions, “in the green (we place) the organic or leftover food and in the white we put the inorganic or packaging”. In the images there are bags and cardboard boxes full of products ready to be thrown away.
