Anyone who knows the world of boxing knows that before a big fight things are said that make the final night heat up and even people who have nothing to do with the fight get splashed. This is the case of Ryan García when giving his opinion on the third fight between Saúl Canelo Álvarez and Gennady Golovkin.
Last week the end of the trilogy between both boxers was presented in Los Angeles, both offered their versions about the final fight of the defense and external opinions also arrived, as was the case of ‘King Ry’ García.
“Of course, the pick is Canelo, but I don’t know, I think I have a feeling that Golovkin will have the best performance of his life. I don’t know why I have this feeling that Golovkin will have an incredible fight for some reason,” Garcia said when questioned by DAZN.
These statements in which Ryan sees the Kazakh GGG as the winner are not They felt good for Canelo Álvarez, who responded in a forceful and spicy manner.
“He is just angry about something, maybe because he is no longer in the team and will always be against us, no matter what happens,” Canelo told DAZN. He took advantage of relating everything to the departure of the young boxer from the Canelo Team, after disagreements with Eddy Reynoso.
García made his departure from the Canelo Team public in February 2022 and argued that it was due to the little attention that coach Reynoso gave him to prepare his fights.
However, Canelo finished off with words more convincing about the lightweight boxer.
“He is a young boy, you have to understand that. He has a lot to learn. My advice to him is just do his job, focus on his career, win a world championship first and then you talk about others. You haven’t achieved anything and you talk about other fighters who have won a lot”, he advised him.
Then he reminded García that at his age he had already won a world belt: “When I had 20 years ago, I was already world champion. You can say things, talk, but at the end of the day you haven’t done anything.”
