Doraymus Robinson, a young man aged 22 who was shot in the head in a “deli” business in Staten Island (NYC) during a dispute, died after agonizing for five days in the hospital.
Robinson was a customer at the “Elegant Deli” business on Victory Blvd. near Bay St. in the Tompkinsville neighborhood, when his girlfriend got into an argument with a man who was apparently selling drugs at the store, just before 6 pm on 21 June, police sources and witnesses said.
“If you keep doing it, something bad is going to happen to you,” the young woman warned the drug dealer, she told the Daily News the manager of the establishment. When Robinson and his girlfriend left the store, the alleged drug trafficker made a call from the store’s phone.
Shortly thereafter a car stopped and at least two men got out, leading to a confrontation with Robinson. During the confrontation the dealer came out of the store, pulled out a gun and shot Robinson in the head. Then the three suspects ran away.
