A few days ago, the authorities of the municipality of Potosí, in Bolivia, undertook an exhaustive search for a 6-year-old boy, whose relatives reported him missing and of whom there was no trace of where he could be found or where he was. who had taken him.
Finally, last Wednesday, the boy was found in a vacant lot, in a serious state of health and with signs of violence, so he was immediately taken to a hospital. Hours later, he was declared dead.
The minor was identified as Jhair Matías Gabriel Choque. The investigation revealed that on the day of his disappearance, the boy had attended school and was picked up by a 19-year-old woman, who has been identified as the father’s partner of the minor and that she would be arrested hours later.
In fact, it transpired that when the death was announced from Jhair, the girl tried to run away but was stopped when she was already on the bus that would take her away. The first indications indicate that the suspect would have decided to murder the minor due to a sentimental conflict she had with her partner.
The coroner’s report determined that the child had consumed “a phosphorous substance”, for which reason the cause of his death would have been due to intoxication.
The mother of the minor told a local media that she cannot find any explanation for that woman deciding to end the life of her son, or why the school allowed a stranger to take him out so easily.
“My son was a tender, loving child who she always told me I love you”, explained the woman between tears.
The suspect is behind bars and is accused of infanticide.
