In the United States and many other countries, gasoline prices have soared as pandemic restrictions eased and fuel demand increased. Labor shortages, closed refineries and the war in Ukraine have limited supplies, which has contributed to aggravate the problem by driving prices even higher.
To find out how expensive the gasoline in other countries, The Washington Post carried out an exercise where it compares how many miles can be traveled with $40 fuel dollars.
The comparison assumes the use of a Toyota Camry, which is one of the most popular sedans in the world, with a half-tank load that in the United States costs $40 Dollars. The data indicates that it is a model 2010, which, depending on its age, travels about 32 miles per gallon, which means it will get a performance of 250 miles down the road.
