A Maine woman was stabbed 454 times during an attack by a couple who tried to rub Xanax pills and cash on him, authorities reported.
The woman identified as Kimberly Neptune, of 39 years old, sustained hundreds of injuries to his legs, stomach, head and neck, said Maine State Police Detective , Lawrence Anderson, in an affidavit unsealed Wednesday, according to information obtained by the Bangor Daily News.
Donnell Dana, of 38 years old, as well as Kailie Brackett, from 38, were charged with murder on 29 April, more than a week after Neptune’s murder.
Brackett had accused Neptune of stealing money, according to the police affidavit, adding that the suspects planned to rob her 300 Xanax pills and cash.
The affidavit stated that Brackett allegedly told a witness about the deadly attack, mentioning that he called Neptune on 10 in April, and agreed to meet the following night.
When Brackett and Dana entered Neptune’s apartment, they charged at the victim. Dana ransacked the apartment for drugs, cash, and jewelry, while Brackett began assaulting his victim.
For the 21 April, a relative of Neptune called the police at approximately 8: 10 pm and requested a wellness check for her.
When officers responded to the apartment they found the woman dead, and later released screenshots of a neighbor’s surveillance video showing a person dressed in black walking in crime scene. Shortly after that person was identified as Brackett.
Authorities eventually held the couple without bond in the Washington County Jail.
