From San Francisco to Los Angeles, from playing with Stephen Curry to being a teammate of Lebron James. Not bad so far the career of the Mexican Juan Toscano Anderson who after being champion with the Golden State Warriors will now be a LA Lakers player in the NBA.
A little more than six hours by car further south is the move of the 1.98 meter tall forward who has just become the first Mexican to wear a championship ring in the NBA Finals.
Toscano Anderson was born in Oakland, a city where he played with the Warriors for three seasons and now he goes to a large community of Mexicans like Los Angeles. But he does not leave without thanking the team that gave him the opportunity to play in the best basketball in the world.
“All good things have to end for new things to come. #DubNation, I have no way to thank you. The experience I had at home is something I will never forget. So many things culminated in this experience and I will forever be grateful,” he wrote on Twitter.
That said, no he hid the excitement he has about going to Los Angeles and belonging to the most winning team, along with the Boston Celtics, in the NBA. In the Lakers team he could have more playing time than he had in Golden State, which would already be an advance for his career with 10 year old.
“Having said that, I am extremely excited to be a Laker. New opportunities, a new chapter of my life. History is still being written,” he posted.
