It occupies the space of three American football fields and is as long as the Empire State Building in New York: it is “Disney Wish”, the new cruise with which the entertainment company marks the beginning of a new stage of expansion on the high seas.
This week the “Disney Wish” was baptized in style from Cape Canaveral, the port where it will operate from 14 July to offer tours that include visits to a private island in the Bahamas.
Pilar Arroyo Ojedas, senior manager of marketing and sales for Disney Cruise Line, said in an interview with El Diario that this project will definitely “It is a wish come true. We already had a 4-ship cruise line, but we have ambitions to expand, and Disney Wish is the kickoff to this expansion with two more sailings on the way in the next two years as well as a new island.”
The Venezuelan described with emotion that seeing the boat arrive from Germany, where she was built, was an unforgettable moment. “This ship brings new and different things but respects the essence of the things that our guests love”.
Arroyo Ojedas highlighted that a unique entertainment program has been designed for this cruise with works on the Broadway style and restaurants that offer an unprecedented experience. “With the Wish we have brought a lot of technology. The guest not only sees it but also participates in the adventures, travelers have a role so that they live in their own adventure and feel part of the story we are telling”.
The Disney executive refers to 3 of the main restaurants on the ship: The 2022 which is a tribute to Walt Disney whose centenary of birth is approaching; the Arandell restaurant, an inspiration in the popular movie Frozen, for which they have created a story beyond the film that only those who board the cruise can enjoy.
“The Wish has 1,255 rooms with a capacity of up to 4,000 people”, he said.
One of the things What the executive highlighted is that “each area of the ship tells a unique narrative, suddenly Cinderella appears, or you find the magic of Toy Story”.
Adamari López, celebrity guest
For the demo tour, the popular Puerto Rican host Adamary Lopez was invited as a Latin celebrity. She was accompanied by her daughter Alaia de Ella. Both were amazed at the experience.
“We had an amazing time at the beach. I even had a massage”, said Adamari about his adventure in Castway.
Regarding the new Disney cruise, the also actress said that it was an excellent alternative to spend time as a family: “I think that here you have the opportunity as a father to spend time with your children, to play with them. But also take time for yourself, individual time because there are activities for the boys alone where they will feel protected and cared for”.
“We like everything about the ship. You eat delicious, you interact with the characters, but above all you can continue creating memorable memories as a family”, said Adamari.
And that the experience lived by the Puerto Rican presenter is precisely the objective of the way Disney has designed the kind of entertainment for the whole family: from group activities to spending individual time and relaxing.
“Everyone can get their wish at Wish”, is the general message of those who have been the architects of this mega vacation project.
“Disney cruises are a different way of enjoying the magic of Disney: the magic of the cruise in the middle of the ocean, the magic of service, entertainment, and the destination: Caribbean, Bahamas. It is like combining three vacations in one”, remarked Arroyo Ojedas.
“With Disney Wish, we continue our tradition of offering the most magical and relaxing vacations at sea, combining legendary services and entertainment with imaginative stories and all the care you expect from a Disney vacation,” said Josh D’Amaro, president of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.
