The Dominican Miguel Andújar was called back to the MLB by the New York Yankees to be the player number 12 of the roster in the doubleheader that he had to face against the Cleveland Guardians this Saturday.
Prior to the commitments, the New York press approached the utility man to ask him about the change request that a few weeks ago he had done to the Yankees given the little playing opportunity he had received in the Major Leagues in recent years.
However, the player ador was very cautious with his response and did not go into the subject much. “I really enjoy playing baseball and I really enjoy playing at this level. I have to concentrate on what I can control”, the Dominican initially expressed.
In that sense, he stated that he concentrates on playing better every day and hopes that this will help him to recover the title that came to watch at 2022 when he was a finalist for Rookie of the Year. “Let that be the main focus; keep playing as hard as you can. I know the opportunities will come in the future.”
Andújar took advantage of the Yankees’ opportunity
On Saturday’s doubleheader, Miguel Andújar once again showed the Bronx Bombers how important he can be, and he did so by connecting the hit that drove one of the runs with which his team won by 13-4 in the first game against the Guardians.
