opportunities-to-win-or-lose

With the debate that was formed by the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice to reverse the ruling of almost 50 years ago Roe vs. . Wade, by saying that abortion was never protected by the constitution, I think there is a storm with a rough river, but without water. Well, he didn’t say it was prohibited either.

This decision opens a pandora’s box, which, if used well, would leave all parties happy and would end the protests in the streets of the Big Apple now throughout the nation, without New York becoming what would be called a paradise for those who do not want to have their births, or as the mecca of abortion tourism.

If we see the glass half full can be the campaign hook to attract voters not only in the primaries of the Congress and the state Senate that will take place on August 23, if not for the candidates who emerged victorious in the primaries of 28 in June, that is, Governor Kathy Hochul herself and her Republican contender Lee Zeldin .

With this issue, their voters could give them a clear mandate, as a kind of referendum to resolve the matter democratically and not by 6 votes of ult magistrates raconservatives.

This proposal would also work on November 8 when 34 of the 100 seats in the Senate and representatives in the Chamber of 435 districts of the country.

The topic will not be easy, and those elected will be able to work on laws for all, putting the voters at the top of the agenda, and they would win the seats, if their proposal is the correct one.

And I would not be surprised if this issue is the political platform for a future popular campaign by prosecutor Letitia James, since she even defined a telephone information line on the rights to suspend unwanted pregnancies, leaving New York as a refuge, since abortion is already prohibited in nine states.

But what does seem worrying to me is that the Court repealed other judges. It seems to me that it leaves a precedent that would jeopardize the stability of justice and could lead to criminal punishment not only of the patients, but also of the doctors who assist them.

And so that that does not happen, the Supreme Court pointed out the responsibility of Congress to decide what is best for those who elected them.

At the state level, the states could define whether to allow the procedures, but in Washington DC would be the real power to put an end to the controversy .
