Seven members of a family, including a minor, were shot to death this Sunday morning in the Mexican state of Veracruz, in the Gulf of Mexico.

Attorney General’s Office of the State of Veracruz detailed via Twitter that the victims are three women and four men, including a minor.

Although the events were confirmed this Monday morning, they occurred almost midnight this Sunday at an address in the municipality of Boca del Río, Veracruz.

The Veracruz justice system commissioned prosecutors, experts and ministerial police to investigate in depth the causes of the multiple homicide and identify and arrest the person or persons responsible.

“ Prosecutors, Experts and Ministerial Police carry out the proceedings to establish the causes and identify and arrest the person(s) responsible for these unfortunate events”, detailed the authorities on the social network.

The Attorney General of the State, Verónica Hernández Giadáns, emphasized that in this case “as in all cases in which the people of Veracruz are attacked, there will be no impunity.”
