Two 20 year-olds were killed and a third was wounded by a gunshot in a shooting outside a residence in the municipality of Carolina, in the north of Puerto Rico, the Police reported this Monday.
The double murder occurred on Sunday night on Andrés Arus Street, where the agents went after being notified by a call to the emergency system about some shots on the scene.
On the pavement were the bullet-ridden bodies of two youths, identified as Heriberto E. López Hiraldo and Alvin Y. Canales Escaleras, both from 20 years, according to the Police statement.
The municipal paramedics also went to the scene of the crime but could only certify the absence of vital signs in the youths.
Related to these events, a man identified as Christian Delbrey was injured bullet in the thigh and was treated in the emergency room ias from the hospital.
The Homicide Division of the Carolina Criminal Investigation Corps, together with the prosecutor Omar Barroso, took charge of the investigation.
This weekend has been especially violent on the island, where a total of nine murders have been recorded, according to the latest Police bulletin.
The bloodiest day was Saturday, when six violent deaths were reported, three of them part of a multiple murder in the Levittown area.
In that area of the northern municipality of Toa Baja, two men and a woman, between 21 and 24 years old, were attacked when they were inside a vehicle and died from numerous gunshot wounds.
