FC Barcelona announced this Monday the hiring of Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessié, who arrives with the letter of freedom, after not having renewed his contract with the current Italian champion, AC Milan. After his announcement, his compatriot Touré Yaya, who is part of the history of the Catalan club, the importance he had in his decision with a single call.

Kessié signed a contract for the next four seasons will be presented next Wednesday at the Camp Nou as the first reinforcement of the Catalans for the coming campaign 2022-2023 of football from the old continent.

“I explained many things to him in detail and that he had to play well from the beginning, have good attitude and be focused to the fullest. Barcelona is a big city and I told him not to go out much at night, to be careful laughs. You have to be focused on the games because they will judge you in all of them”, added the Ivorian.

The new FC Barcelona player will give Xavi Hernández the opportunity to have a very deep midfield and will have a player with great similarities to Sergio Busquets. In addition, his youth and his powerful physique will be fundamental in this position that already has Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Gavi.

“Physically he is a very powerful midfielder and I think he can still improve a lot in various aspects. I also told him that he had to be prepared for the high competition that there is in Barcelona because there are two or three players with whom to fight for a starting position”, concluded the former Catalans player.
