WASHINGTON – The president of the United States, Joe Biden, has chosen as a candidate for a federal judge position the lawyer Julie Rikelman, who represented the Mississippi reproductive services clinic in the case before the Supreme Court that ended with the revocation of the right to abortion.
The White House informed this Friday in a statement of the election of Rikelman as a candidate to preside over the Court of the First Circuit of the United States and now she will have to be confirmed by the Senate.
In its note, the White House explained that Rikelman has been since 2011 the Director of Litigation for the Center for Reproductive Rights, an organization that has represented and represents several clinics that offer abortion services before the Justice.
