Khali Allen, 8 years old, was shot twice outside her home in San Bernardino when several members of her family were holding a fundraiser to cover the funeral expenses of a relative who died in a tragic car accident.

According to the minor’s grandmother, Ronda Wilson, her granddaughter was shot in the face, as well as one in the neck.

In interview With NBCLA, Wilson described the minor as an “energetic” child, even after the shooting which has caused hundreds of people to adore her: “She is a little diva of eight years”.

“The lesions on his left cheek went through his face and out through his neck,” said the grandmother. And she added: “Things were destroyed, her veins, her nerves, all of that.”

Ronda Wilson recalled that on that day of the fatal accident she, as well as her granddaughter and a group of raising funds through the sale of fish fry for his 18-year-old grandson Wilson Nehemiah, who was tragically killed in a car accident.

“We began to hear pow pow pow We all thought it was fireworks. Everyone knew he had to duck. ‘Get down on the ground, get down on the ground,’” Wilson said.

She said she heard more than 20 gunshots. When she finally stopped, the gunmen fled and Khali was the only one injured: “All I remember was blood, because I say she was in shock.

I know that when that happened, my granddaughter was scared. She couldn’t defend herself. Nobody could do anything”.

Now the family has not only asked for help through GoFundMe to cover the expenses of the teenager, but also to pay for the medical services of Khali Allen who is recovering satisfactorily in a San Bernardino Hospital.
