If someone hits all 6 winning numbers today, it will be the second biggest prize in the 20 years of Mega Millions history, behind only the $1 record,537 million earned on 23 October 2018. That winning ticket was sold in South Carolina and remains the world’s largest lottery prize ever won on a single ticket.
In the 28 drawings since jackpot was last won in Tennessee on 15 in April, there have been more than 28.1 million winning tickets across all prize levels including 42 worth $1 million or more.
