A fight between two women in the middle of a wedding party in Philadelphia ended with one of them shooting the other.
The Philadelphia police reported that the events were reported the night of the Wednesday around 9 pm
Those involved were in the space on Macalester Street, near East Hunting Park Avenue in the Feltonville neighborhood, when the brawl broke out.
The NBC Philadelphia report details that the fight began inside the venue and then it spread outside.
Once outside, the victim, aged 26, was shot in the hip. The woman walked her to a police station from where she was taken to a hospital. She is in stable condition.
It is not clear what triggered the altercation; but, apparently, the women had drunk too much.
Both the gunwoman and other attendees at the reception were interviewed by The authorities. It is unknown if the suspect was charged.
However, the woman had a license to carry weapons. She told investigators that, supposedly, she felt afraid when a mob of people left the premises towards her and that is why she fired.
The authorities have not disclosed the identities of those involved.
