leaked-autopsy-of-student-brutally-stabbed-inside-luxury-store-in-california-outrages-her-family

The father of Brianna Kupfer, a young woman who was stabbed to death while working in a luxury furniture store, is outraged by the leak of his daughter’s autopsy report.

The student of UCLA of 24 years was murdered last 13 January by Shawn Laval Smith, who could attacked her because she was alone in the store.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Department released the autopsy report detailing her horrific injuries, including that she had been stabbed 26 times with a gray handled kitchen knife. It should be remembered that autopsy reports are not public.

Todd Kupfer, the victim’s father, spoke to Fox News about the leak of the autopsy, a fact that has upset his family.

“Everyone knows that she was brutally murdered. I don’t know why people would need to know more than that. It is glorifying a horrible tragedy for entertainment”, he expressed.

He also said that as a family they have avoided seeing news about it. “We don’t want to know that right now. It’s too difficult and too triggering,” he said.

Kupfer was contacted Thursday by an assistant district attorney for Los Angeles, who informed him about the leak and told him that the officials are already being investigated.

“There are people who really don’t care about humanity and, for any selfish gain or any reason, they act without authority and without conscience”, expressed the father of the victim.

The presumed murderer of 30 years, would have entered the store Croft Hous around 2:30pm and immediately texted her manager to say the man was giving her a “bad vibe”. Minutes later she was dead.

Although in Initially a fugitive, Smith was arrested six days later in Pasadena.

The man has an extensive criminal history and had an active warrant for assaulting a police officer at the time of the murder. Authorities are awaiting Smith’s mental health evaluation to proceed to trial.

“He should have been in jail,” Todd Kupfer said of his daughter’s killer.

If convicted of murder, Smith would faces life imprisonment.
