The first title of the season was played in England and it was Liverpool FC who won the Community Shield with a goal from Darwin Núñez to seal the 1-3 win against Manchester City at the King Power in Leicester.

Already in the preseason the Uruguayan from 21 years of age showed that he came to the Reds to score goals and be the king of the area. He scored four goals against RB Leipzig in the second half and closed the game against City with a header in the small area that ended in a goal.
