mega-millions:-lottery-office-still-waiting-for-$1.337-million-winner;-now-the-powerball-prize-is-growing

The winner of the second largest Mega Millions jackpot has not claimed the $1,337 million dollars he won by matching the corresponding numbers.

This was confirmed by the director of the Illinois Lottery, Harold Mays, on Saturday in Chicago. The authorities also explained that the prize is higher due to the accumulation in the last few hours.

“We have not yet heard from the winner. We don’t know if he… even knows that he won an award. So I encourage everyone to check their ticket,” said Mays.

In addition to this, the Powerball prize totaled $187 million dollars as there was no winner on Saturday.

Although the winner of the Mega Millions can remain anonymous, the lottery offices regularly inform when the money was claimed and how it has been requested, whether in parts or in whole.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Speedway gas station in Des Plaines, approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, authorities confirmed, but that doesn’t mean whoever bought it lives in the neighborhood.

If the holder chooses an option to obtain the money in cash, he must pay $780 million.

In case you prefer to split it, then you will receive 30 annual payments.

The winning numbers for Friday night were 13, 36, 45, 57, 67 and a Mega Ball from 14.

The draw accumulated the second largest purse in his story and generated a shopping spree, to the extent that the Jackpocket application registered saturation more than an hour before the time limit for purchasing a ticket expired.

The Speedway convenience store will receive $500,000 for selling the winning ticket, indicated the Lottery office state.

“We are delighted to have witnessed one of the largest jackpots in Mega Million history yes We can’t wait to find out who won and look forward to congratulating the winner soon!” Pat McDonald, Senior Director of the Mega Millions Consortium, said in a press release.
