Police are on the hunt for a man who is accused of attempting to rape a Brooklyn woman while walking her dog on Saturday morning.
The suspect took the victim from behind, strangling her and throwing her on her floor to try to sexually abuse her. The incident took place near Woodbine St. and Rifgewood Place in Bushwick around 8: 25 Saturday morning, police said.
Security video footage shows the attacker ambushing the woman of 30 years old, who lets go of his dog’s leash while barking frantically while the subject gets on top of the victim, meanwhile struggling to free himself from the aggressor.
Authorities said the assailant continued to strangle the woman and assault her over her clothing before fleeing east on Woodbine Street.
“This cabliterally strangled her and pushed her to the ground and nearly strangled her unconscious,” a police source told the New York Post.
The victim who suffered injuries to the neck and face was treated at the Interreligious Medical Center.
The police officers describe the individual as a man of 30 years old, 5’8″, medium build, black hair with dreadlocks, mustache and stubble on his chin. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a pink design on the front, a black t-shirt, black shorts, and black sneakers.

Police released pictures of the suspect before he attacked the woman.
