Not agreeing with this decision, the soccer player Cristian Tirone, from Deportivo Garmense, ran to where the referee was and took advantage of the fact that her back was turned to punch her at the height of the nape.

Subsequently, according to the police report and also as evidenced in the videos that were published on social networks, Tirone again attacked her with kicks.

The commitment was immediately suspended. The footballer, aged 34 years old, was taken into custody for causing “slight injuries” to Cortadi, who was treated at the hospital by caution.

“In view of the facts in which a Garmense player physically assaulted the woman who officiated as referee, the club expresses its strong rejection of this action that is at odds with the spirit that is intended to be instilled with the practice of this sport, “said Deportivo Garmense in a statement.

In this sense, “he sympathizes with the judge who was attacked, expresses her apologies; She makes herself available to her and commits to continue working to eradicate violence in all its forms, and train athletes with values ​​such as: discipline, camaraderie, commitment and, above all, respect and tolerance”.
