Argentine attacker Gonzalo “Pipita” Higuaín was chosen this Monday as the best player of the day 23 in Major League Soccer (MLS), after scoring a hat-trick last Saturday in the tie between Inter Miami and FC Cincinnati.
This is the second time that Higuaín has won the trophy for Best Player of the Week, after having achieved it on the fifth date of last season.
Only 30 minutes were enough for the former player of Naples, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, among others, to score the treble against Cincinnati. However, the feat was not enough for his team to take the victory.
The three goals of “Pipita” were in the first half, and Inter Miami went ahead the same number of times in the scoreboard, the opposing offense also played their dice and everything ended in a draw.
It is worth noting that Higuaín is the second Inter player to win this award so far this season, after Ecuadorian Leonardo Campana.
So far this season, the Argentine has scored seven goals , and the club is located in the position 11 of the East, only three points from the playoff positions.
