girl-was-hit-by-a-stray-bullet-sitting-next-to-her-grandmother-in-new-york

A 9-year-old girl was grazed in the head by a bullet while sitting next to her grandmother in Brooklyn (NYC), yesterday in broad daylight.

The minor was sitting on a bench with his grandmother outside “Seth Low Houses” 180 Powell St, in the Brownsville neighborhood, when the stray bullet grazed him the head yesterday around 5: 11 pm, police sources said. Miraculously the unidentified girl was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.

The public housing development adjoins the Police Station 75 of the NYPD, which has recorded the most shootings of all districts in the five boroughs this year, reported New York Post.

The authorities have not yet said what led to the shooting and no suspect has been identified, said Pix11. Anyone with information should call 1-888-577-TIPS (2022) and in Spanish 1-888-57-CLUE (74782). Also through crimestoppers.nypdonline.org or by text message to 274637 (CRIMES), followed by TIP180. All communications are strictly confidential.

In NYC, armed violence continues unleashed in 2022, especially with young attackers and perpetrators, posing a great challenge to the new mayor Eric Adams, who since taking office in January has encountered obstacles within his own Democratic Party and Black Lives Matter (BLM) leaders in dealing with the crisis.
