Guatemala authorities transferred this Tuesday from Huehuetenango to the FAG, area 13 of the capital, alleged members of the criminal structure “Alfa Seven” linked to the crime of human trafficking in the country.

According to the National Civil Police of Guatemala, the arrests were carried out during raids carried out by elements of the PNC and personnel of the Ministry Public.

The 26 raids were carried out in Huehuetenango, Quiché, Totonicapán, Baja Verapaz and Alta Verapaz, to prior arrest warrants are effective.

Likewise, the authorities highlighted the participation of the United States agency Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

They explained that of the 13 captured, four of them are being extradited: Felipe Diego Alonzo, alias Siete, Nesly Norberto Martínez Gómez, alias Canche, Juan Gutiérrez Cas tro, alias Andrés and Leonel Mateo Mateo, alias Batlay.

Finally, the Guatemalan National Police reiterated to the public the importance of denouncing those acts or persons that violate life and safety.
