The New York Yankees sent Dominican pitcher Luis Severino to the 60 day injured list, just after the trial of changes they made to the roster before Tuesday’s deadline.
Newsday journalist Brian Heyman assured that the Puerto Rican is quite upset with the decision made by the team’s board, and he exploded with rage in a meeting.
Including him on the disabled list means that he will not be able to pitch in the Major Leagues until mid-September, a situation that affects him considerably.
This decision was taken even when Severino told the team that he did not feel any discomfort in his arm after Monday’s performance.
After learning of the decision, he met with manager Aaron Boone to discuss the movement that ended up affecting him.
The two-time All-Star was also on the injured list for 15 days in July, after suffering a low-grade lateral strain.
To his 28 years, the Quisqueyan pitcher has an ERA of 3.45 and 95 strikeouts in 86 labor innings in what’s going on 2022, some pretty good numbers.
