Mega Millions: No word yet on who won the $1.337 million prize

In the Friday night Mega Millions drawing, a citizen of Illions won the maximum prize of the Lottery with a bag of $1,280 million dollars.

Mega Millions announced the winning numbers: 12, 36, 45, 57 and 67, plus the golden Mega Ball 14, but they did not reveal the winner.

The ticket was sold at a Speedway gas station in Des Plaines, approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Chicago, though that doesn’t mean whoever bought it lives in the neighborhood.

The Law of Illions dictates that whoever earns above $250,000 you can request anonymity , but regularly the lottery offices inform when the money was claimed and how it has been requested by the winner, whether in parts or in one single exhibition.

If the winner chooses the option to receive the money in one payment, he will receive $780 million, but in case he prefers to divide it , then you will receive 30 annual payments.

Illinois Lottery Director Harold Mays has said that: “This is the largest lottery prize ever won in Illinois, and the second largest Mega Millions prize ever won.”

“We still haven’t heard from the winner. We don’t know if they know or not that they have won this amazing prize. So we say to all of our players: check your tickets,” Director Mays said after the drawing.

The Illinois Lottery encourages the winner to sign the back of the ticket, seek legal advice and and then schedule an appointment with the Illinois Lottery to claim your prize.
