A video showed the moment in which a cow weighing more than two thousand pounds had to be rescued from the bottom of a cliff in Spain after slipping while grazing.
The scene seemed more a special forces operation than an animal rescue, after Spanish experts judged that it was almost impossible to bring the cow to a safe place from where it had fallen.
Therefore, they had to faced with two options: the first was to slaughter the cow in the place where it had “landed” or the second, not to give up and try to remove it; luckily for the animal, the rescue team opted for the latter.
Here are the images shared by the heroic cow rescue team with a helicopter:
When viewing After the animal incident, firefighters and a veterinarian had to go down to the bottom of the cliff, where the cow was sedated and wrapped in a sling net.
Later, a medical evacuation helicopter was sent to take the wounded beast to a safe place.
Surprisingly, the cow only suffered minor injuries in the fall in Ruiloba, in the region of Cantabria, an incident recorded on August 1st.
It should be noted that the cow was part of a herd belonging to Adrián Toyo de Casasola, which is a town the shore of the Cantabrian Sea.
The emergency services of Cantabria reported in a statement: “A helicopter and firefighters They rescue a cow that fell off a cliff in Ruiloba. We received the notice last night and mobilized firefighters to assess the situation. The owner was informed that the rescue was not possible at this time and would be attempted during the day.”
“At dawn we return to the site to evaluate the area and the technical requirements. Given the impossibility of evacuating her by any other means, it was decided to evacuate her by air, the only way to take her to a safe place and save her life. Rescue technicians and firefighters prepared the area for the helicopter, and access to a veterinarian was facilitated to proceed with the animal’s sedation,” they concluded.
